ABSTRACT: The problem of postoperative pain in children has become an important issue today. Numerous techniques are available for the relief of postoperative pain. In spite of the introduction of such techniques as regional blocks and patient-controlled analgesia, there is considerable scope and need for advances in pain therapy in infants and younger children.
